Diary of a student-Teacher #Week3Day15
Hi guys, welcome to the 15th day of my Journey as a student-teacher and of course the last day in week 3. Definitely, the days seem to be moving so fast. I think we are actually being rushed somewhere, who knows.
Just as I had mentioned in yesterday’s article, I wasn’t going to be in school today. I had an appointment with my Optician and then two important events of which I was a speaker in one of them. Fortunately, I didn't meet a crowd at the hospital so it was easy to quickly see the Doctor and then leave for other things.
About the event, I was invited as one of the speakers to the March summit edition of the Nnung Ikono Obio Social Entrepreneurs held at the Ibom e-library conference hall. I spoke on Women Engagement in the Digital World.
It was a very beautiful experience and what made it spectacular was the fact that it was in that same Ibom e-library’s conference hall that I sat 7 years ago as a secondary school student newly introduced to technology. I was a total newbie that day. But here I am, on the podium of the same hall not as an attendee but as a distinguished guest speaker. Amazing right?
I was glad to get beautiful feedbacks after my session.
Well, my day didn’t end there. I immediately left to attend the 9th Joint Campus Action Committee by the National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Akwa Ibom State Axis. Actually, I was informed The previous day that I had an award that I needed to received. Wow. I was surprised but felt highly honored.
Actually, This is my first award plaque EVER and I value it with everything. As stated on the plaque, it was an award for public service in the area of educational development in Akwa Ibom State and the World.
This week has been an amazing one on its own and the greatest lesson have learned is that ;
No matter how much it tarries, what is for us will always be ours, most times we just need to be patient and keep doing all we need to do. there is enough for everyone out there, we just have to be patient.
I want you to end the week with a renewed energy to continue doing what you are doing. The extrinsic motivation will come, just keep going.
I hope you have a lovely weekend
