A weekend Photo!

Excitedly, I rounded off my examination today. That is, I am officially done with the first semester of my second year at the university. Also, the first week of my journey as a student-teacher has successfully been completed. Yaaay!

It's been an amazing week although I missed two days out of the five days I am supposed to be in school, because of exams. Regardless, I am looking forward to a new week where I will be more steady with the kids.

Although I wasn't at my assigned school today, I went for home tutoring with my student in the evening. It is always an amazing time with this child. First, because he loves to learn and that shows in his attitude. Secondly, because he always looks for ways to please me when he has done something wrong and he realizes I am not pleased with him.

Since I arrived at my place of assignment, I have not independently handled a class yet because; my lesson note is yet to be ready and I am really interested in watching and learning from the teachers. But from next week, I look forward to being actively engaged in teaching.

During my first week as a student-teacher, there are considerably few things I have learned and I would like to share with you all;

  • No matter what you do, never forget courtesy. It actually helps.
  • No matter how much you think you know, there is still enough that needs to be learned.
  • It does not cost anything to be friendly. Being friendly open doors and brings us a lot of blessings.
  • There is always a need for that extra-patience.

This week has been a very busy one and of course fulfilling.

I look forward to the new week and with all amount of optimism and I hope that you enjoy the weekend.

Thanks for staying with me and see you on monday!
